how suite it is

September 23, 2007

me and joe at braves game

sitting in a suite is defintely the best way to watch a baseball game. i don’t know how i’ll go back to the regular seats now! as joe and i sat in the box, we saw people on the lower level fanning themselves. why are they doing that, i thought. it’s not hot out. then i remembered that i was under an overhang with a fan blowing on me. hehe.

we had the best time today. it was a fantastic game. the braves were down 4-1 and managed to come back and win 7-4. it was really awesome and a great way to end the home season. the funniest thing happened. we were walking in, heading toward the escalators, and i saw sara! i didn’t really recognize her at first (she looked different than her pics!), but i definitely recognized her daughter and fiance! it was so random. i looked over and said, “hey, isn’t that sara??” so, we caught up with them and talked for a few minutes. she is so sweet!

we also met up with jon, one of joe’s best friends, and that was a blast. i haven’t seen him since our wedding! now we’re home, and it’s back to the routine. it’s too bad today had to end.

a day in my life

September 21, 2007

the person who wrote this story on the onion must a reporter. there is no other way he could so accurately describe our thoughts on city council/town hall meetings. these are the bane of our existences, and much of what he thought i have thought time and time again as residents talked and talked and talked about issues not even on the agenda. even if you are not a journalist, you will still get a good laugh out of it. oh, how i love the onion.

five things you never knew about me

March 27, 2007

i was tagged by lisa to do this, and i’m always up for a challenge. i have to list five things about me that i haven’t ever revealed in my blog. here are the rules: 1. get tagged 2. list five things that have not been revealed on your blog 3. tag five others.

alrighty then…

1. i used to play the violin and the piano. i quit the violin when i was very, very young (sometime before first grade) because i was too young to want to practice. i quit the piano in high school. now, i wish i had stuck with both.

2. i am very paranoid. i tend to think that if i’m not in the room, other people are talking about me.

3. before i decided to become a journalist, i wanted to go to law school and be a prosecutor or defense attorney.

4. i am a very, very shy person. it’s hard for me to talk to people unless i know them pretty well. i don’t know why i’m shy because no one else in my family is.

5. i am not good at keeping in touch with old friends. one of my goals this year is to do a better job at that.

now, it’s your turn. i’m tagging:
